Why we exist.
Search is changing. For 20 years, getting found online meant ranking on Google. That's still important — but it's not the whole picture anymore.
Today, millions of people ask AI for recommendations instead of scrolling through search results. They open ChatGPT and ask 'Who's the best dentist in Austin?' or 'Where should I go for physical therapy in Denver?' AI gives them a direct answer — 3 to 5 names. That's it.
We started Be the Answer because we saw this shift coming and realized nobody was helping local businesses prepare for it. Most marketing agencies are still focused on the old playbook. We're building the new one.
Our approach: research first.
We don't make recommendations based on hunches or what worked for Google. We run real studies — pre-registered research across multiple cities and AI platforms — to find out exactly what makes AI recommend one business over another.
We've analyzed over 19,000 AI responses across 41 cities and 3 AI platforms. We've published studies in chiropractic and physical therapy, with more industries in the pipeline. Every recommendation we make to our clients is grounded in this data.
This matters because AI search is brand new. There are no established best practices yet. A lot of agencies are guessing. We'd rather know.
One client per market.
We work with one business per competitive market per industry. If we helped every dentist in Austin get recommended by AI, we'd be competing against ourselves. That's not how our system works.
Geographic exclusivity means our full methodology is working for you, not against you. When we take on a client, we're all in on getting them recommended — and nobody else in their area gets access to our system.
This also means we're selective. We only take on clients where we believe we can deliver real results based on our research.
What we believe.
We believe the businesses that move first into AI search will have a lasting advantage. It's easier to become the answer than to unseat someone who already is.
We believe in transparency. Our research is published. Our methodology is data-driven. Our pricing is straightforward. No hidden fees, no long-term lock-in on the Foundation, no vague promises.
We believe local businesses deserve better than generic marketing advice. The owner who built their practice from scratch deserves a partner who understands their market, does real research, and gives them a genuine edge.
